Summer is around the corner and we look forward to another busy season. It is shaping up fast. We are of course excited to get our brand new web site up and running. Have you seen it yet? Go to www.OCAregistry.com Weddings are in the air for the Banana Oil Pan Band. As you can see on our calendar page, we are playing several this summer. A very special wedding is scheduled for Aug 8. Josh Watkins (our lead panist) and Kendra are tying the knot. Yes folks, they have found that special someone who they want to annoy for the rest of their lives. All sick humor aside - we wish Josh and Kendra happiness and health along with what ever else they want. I just hope Josh does not stay away too long for his honeymoon. I’m trying to book gigs here you know. Another very special wedding will take place June 19 in Boulder, CO. Holly Froeschner – Gary’s daughter – and Bruce Smith are getting married. Believe it or not, it was their idea to have the Banana Oil Pan Band play at their wedding. I bet you were wondering why we booked a gig in Boulder, CO. Most fathers want to give their daughter away at her wedding – Gary just wants to play pan music. Where are this guy’s priorities? This should be a great trip and we look forward to a few days in the mountains. We are in the process of negotiating many gigs for festivals and art fairs around the area. The calendar indicates a few that are finalized or tentative. If you know of a festival where you think we should appear, tell them about the Banana Oil Pan Band.
